A personal journey into the trafficking of women
Rooted in unforgettable childhood memories, the filmmaker takes the viewer into her personal journey as she follows the story of a Mexican-American woman engulfed in a storm of sexual oppression who begins a quest to banish the shadows still haunting her.
SANDS OF SILENCE documentary project is an intimate, poetic portrait that explores the universality of gender violence and suggests that breaking the silence is the first step to put an end to it.
